How do 5loyalty eGift Vouchers Work?

Purchase in advance – customers can choose for gift vouchers to be sent up to 30 days in advance. This will allow you to be prepared an make sure that the voucher arrives in the recipients inbox on their special day.

Email address – all our gift vouchers are sent online, vouchers can not be lost. A customer sends their voucher to the recipient via email.

Personal message – this is completely customisable and allows the purchaser to leave a special message for the recipient.

Gift voucher record – a purchaser is able to see all the vouchers they have purchases, resend any gift vouchers that have not been received by the recipient and/or resend them in case the recipient’s email was entered incorrectly.

QR code – the 5loyalty eGift voucher module integrates seamlessly with the Lightspeed K-series point of sale. The recipient will receive a merchant-branded email containing a QR code. The recipient then just needs to scan that QR code at the merchants point of sale, and the balance can be fully, or part, redeemed.

Web Extension – The proprietary 5loyalty web extension allows the merchant, or the merchant’s server, to view all of the relevant information pertaining to the customers gift voucher. Their remaining balance, the expiry date, the recipient and the Gift Voucher number that can be looked up on the Customers administration panel.

Frequently asked questions

Yes - our system stores a balance for a particular voucher ID. This balance can be part redeemed or redeemed in full, the choice is with the recipient.

Yes - The gift voucher email contains a QR code that can be scanned in store or a code which can be insetrted into the 5loyalty webapp. Once the code is inserted the user will be topped up and receive the corresponding amount of points.

Not currently, however it is on our roadmap to develop the ability to buy gift vouchers in store.
