How does the customer know their meal is ready to collect if they have opted out of marketing?
When ordering, customers are alerted to look out for a notification email in their inbox. The email will go to the address the customer used when registering or checking out as a guest. (There’s no issue emailing them to say their order is complete as this is not a marketing message.)
Can I message customers that their order is ready via SMS instead?
Yes. You can opt to inform customers via SMS instead, for a small additional fee.
Can I change the copy in the email?
No need! The email is a fixed template that delivers all the relevant information, simply and clearly.
Can customers use their Loyalty Points with Counter Pickup?
Yes, Loyalty Points can be accumulated and redeemed with Counter Pickup, as with any of our order modules.
Can I see the status of orders?
Yes. Operational staff can see live orders, with their time of order and current status, on your real-time Order Status page.
My staff say they are too busy to be updating customers with their order status, what can I do?
Counter Pickup is a valuable revenue stream for many outlets, but it does rely on the customer receiving updates on their order status. So a little staff training or tweaking of processes may be in order. The module can also be switched off at busy times (charges apply).
If we're too busy can I turn the module off during service?
Counter Pickup can be switched off at any time by your operational staff. (Charges apply.)
